The Role of Clinic Contact for eReferrals

Please Note: Nova Scotia currently provides Ocean eReferrals access to primary care providers and surgeons. This allows referrals to be sent for surgical consults. Diagnostic Imaging Service referrals will also be made with this tool, starting with MRIs in September 2023.

Information will be shared as access is expanded to other healthcare providers in the future.

To get started using eReferrals, each clinic/ office/ practice must identify a Clinic Contact who can assist with overall clinic account set up and configuration. Clinic contacts are responsible for completing the following tasks:

Not Yet on Ocean – Submit an onboarding request to get started

If you are a surgeon or primary care provider select the appropriate onboarding request and complete the form to get started. You will receive a follow up communication from a deployment team member once this is complete. Other health care providers are not yet being onboarded to Ocean.
